 | | Effective immediately Born Again Technologies will no longer be accepting electronics to recycle. We will be shutting down our warehouse due to the City of Murfreesboro planning to open up a permanent recycling facility on Haley Road. We will however still remain a non-profit organization and offer free online classes. You can access our classes at http://www.bornagaintechnologies.org/moodle | Why do we charge recycling fees? Recycling fees help pay for the proper recycling and disposal of hazardous waste without exporting any of it overseas. They also pay for the day to day operations that offer these services to the general public and business of the area. | | | | | |

What is E-Waste and why should I care? |
|
E-waste is the term coined for unwanted electronics such as computers, VCR's, microwaves, florescent lighting, CFL's (compact florescent lighting), and other such items. Why does Born Again Technologies care about what happens to it and why should the general public? E-waste contains a lot of harmful chemicals that can damage our environment, our water supplies, cause harmful things to happen to our bodies, and take up unneccessay space in our local landfills increasing their size rapidly. |
|
Born Again Technologies is a community based organization that is like minded when it comes to technology and or environment. There is no paid staff and each person generously donates their time and efforts in helping to keep Rutherford County located in Murfreesboro, TN (and its surrounding areas) safe from unwanted electronics (e-waste). |

WOW!!! It is hard to believe that Born Again Technologies has been around for two years already. Time files when you are trying to get a new organization going, especially a community organization. During the course of two years we have properly diverted over 100,000 lbs of unwanted electronics from our local landfills. WAY TO GO RUTHERFORD COUNTY (and a few others ;o) RESIDENTS!!! |
